The Beatrix Farrand Garden at the Bellefield Mansion is on the property of the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site. As you enter from Route 9, follow the signs to the main parking lot at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor Center. You can get to the Garden by following the signs through the Wallace Visitor Center and out the eastern door. Then follow the path to the west gate of the garden. The garden is enclosed by hemlock hedges and stone walls, but the gates are unlocked. It is less than a 5 minute walk from the main parking lot.

Those who require handicap parking may park in the parking area at the Bellefield Mansion – the yellow building that you see as you drive in. Handicap accessible entrances are on the north side of the terrace or through the garden gate on the east side of the garden.

We are open whenever the FDR site is open, usually dawn to dusk, and the hours change depending on seasonal sunlight changes.

There is no entrance fee for visiting the Beatrix Farrand Garden or greater park site!
